OneSpan is looking for a Software Development Manager to join our team.

You will be part of our Authentication solutions development team. Our products are large and complex solutions that will challenge you to expand your knowledge and think outside the box. This is a greenfield project utilizing some of the most exciting technologies on the market today. This is your chance to leave your mark and help us deliver a game changing system

The Software Development Manager, as a servant leader, will work within a cross-functional organization and his/her primary role is to manage and support the software engineers in multiple autonomous teams in a global, scalable, evolving agile development organization.

This position is open to candidates who have their residence in Austria. This role is hybrid (one or two days in our Vienna's office)

Key Areas of Responsibility

· Lead and develop teams of software engineers. Provide technical & leadership mentorship and training. Provide regular, constructive feedback to your employees, set & track objectives, build development plans, conduct semi-annual performance evaluations.

· Drive process improvements towards consistent and efficient delivery of working products. Maintain and promote software development standards and best practices

· Recruit, interview, and hire top talents. Coach and prepare employees for job transition and succession

· Implement technical vision and drive positive changes in the engineering practices

· Define and drive non-functional projects to support the broader development organization, both within and across product lines.

· Facilitate discussion, workshops, meetings, decision making and conflicting management. Remove obstacles for the team members.

· Keep staff motivated in an agile development environment

· Collaborate with local HR to facilitate the local personnel events, organization of the Vienna office, returning to the office, etc.

Requirements

Education, Experience and Technical skills

· 3+ years of managerial experience in an agile software development environment.

· 5+ years of experience as a programmer, ideally in a SaaS environment.

· Strong emotional intelligence including self-awareness and self-management.

· Strong interpersonal and coaching skills

· Effective written and verbal communication & time management skills, and able to delegate

· Results oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work through ambiguity

· A strong background in SaaS software development, architectural design or quality.

· Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, empowerment and increasing transparency.

· Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful agile practices and tools.

· Proven project management skills with the ability to prioritize and mange work to critical timelines in a fast-paces environment.

· Fluency in English
